Zhura Mobile Mechanics provides roadside assistance in Sacramento and the surrounding towns for drivers whose cars quit at the worst possible moment. We are fully mobile, so there is no shop to get to. You call, we drive out, and we work on the car right where it stopped.

Most roadside calls come down to a handful of problems: a dead battery, a flat tire, keys locked inside, or a part that failed on the drive. We bring the tools to test and fix the common ones on the spot, and we are straight with you when a problem is bigger than a roadside fix.

Our roadside service covers Sacramento, Carmichael, Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Orangevale, Folsom and Antelope, plus Roseville, Rocklin, West Sacramento, Davis and Woodland.

When to call for roadside help

  • The car is completely dead or only makes a click when you turn the key
  • A tire is flat or shredded and you can't safely change it yourself
  • Your keys are locked inside the car
  • A warning light came on and the car lost power or stalled
  • The engine overheated and you pulled over
  • You hear a new grinding, banging or squealing noise and don't trust the car to keep going

Roadside assistance in Sacramento: what we handle

Our roadside work includes jump starts, battery testing and replacement, flat tire repair, tire changes and spare installation, vehicle lockout assistance, and emergency roadside repairs. That last one covers things like a loose battery cable, a failed serpentine belt, or a leaking hose that can be replaced where the car sits.

If your car stopped because of a deeper mechanical problem, we diagnose it first. Sometimes that turns into a repair we can do the same visit, such as a starter or alternator. Sometimes it means the car needs a shop, and we'll say so instead of guessing.

Locked out of your car

If you are wondering who to call for a car lockout, you can call us. We offer vehicle lockout assistance as part of our roadside service, with the goal of getting you back in without damaging the door, the window or the weather seals.

Keep your ID with you if you can. Any honest lockout service should want to confirm the car belongs to you before opening it, and that protects you as much as anyone.

Staying safe while you wait

Move the car as far from traffic as you can and turn on your hazard lights. On a freeway, it is usually safer to stay buckled in your seat than to stand next to the car. If anyone is hurt or in danger, call 911 first.

Keep your phone charged and your ringer on so we can reach you if we need directions. If you can, note a mile marker, an exit sign or a nearby business so we can find you quickly.

We don't tow. If the car can't be made safe to drive where it sits, we'll explain what it needs so you can decide on the next step. In HOA communities we can only do jump starts, tire changes and battery replacement.

Roadside Assistance is one of the emergency services we can do inside HOA communities.

How a roadside call works

  1. 1

Call and tell us where you are

Give us your location, the vehicle's year, make and model, and what happened. On a freeway, the direction of travel and nearest exit help us find you.

  2. 2

    We come to the car

A mechanic drives out to your location with tools and testing equipment for the most common roadside problems.

  3. 3

    Diagnosis and a clear price

We look at the car, explain what failed, and tell you what the fix will cost. No work starts until you say OK.

  4. 4

Fix it on the spot when we can

Many roadside problems are handled right there. If the car needs more than a roadside repair, we tell you plainly what the next step is.
